Ladies

Welcome to the Ladies Section of the Keswick Golf Club

We currently have about 80 lady members of which 50 are playing members. The Ladies meet every Thursday and Sunday throughout the year, weather permitting. Even if the weather is inclement there is still a gathering of ladies in the clubhouse for a chat over a coffee and sandwich.

The tee times vary slightly in the winter and summer months so please contact the Secretary or call in at the Clubhouse and details can be found on the notice board in the ladies changing rooms. There is a good selection of competitions organised throughout the summer and there is a league table in both the summer and winter months. The Ladies host two Open competitions during the year; the first is the Team Event held in May 2009 and also Ladies 4BBB in September 2009. There are several mixed competitions arranged throughout the year which are very enjoyable but extremely competitive! New ladies with or without handicaps are most welcome. The ladies without a handicap may join our Copper Ladies who tend to be either beginners or returning to the game and play in their own league during the summer months. This is a good introduction to the game and to meet other new members. The Keswick ladies will be more than happy to play a round with new players and help them with the rules and etiquette of the game.
